Code of Conduct

Power BI Deep Dive is a community-driven conference dedicated to providing a safe, inclusive, and welcoming environment for everyone involved.

All participants — including attendees, speakers, sponsors, organizers, volunteers, and staff — are expected to comply with this Code of Conduct.

1. Our Commitment

We are committed to providing a respectful, harassment-free experience for everyone, regardless of:

  • Gender, gender identity or expression
  • Sexual orientation
  • Disability
  • Physical appearance
  • Body size
  • Race, ethnicity, nationality
  • Religion or belief
  • Age
  • Technical background or experience level

We expect all participants to contribute to a positive and professional atmosphere.

2. Expected Behavior

All participants are expected to:

  • Be respectful, considerate, and professional
  • Engage in constructive discussions
  • Respect differing viewpoints and experiences
  • Follow instructions from organisers and event staff
  • Respect the venue, ship crew, and local laws and regulations
  • Comply with safety procedures and guidelines

3. Unacceptable Behavior

Unacceptable behaviour includes, but is not limited to:

  • Harassment, discrimination, or intimidation in any form
  • Offensive or inappropriate verbal comments
  • Deliberate disruption of sessions or activities
  • Inappropriate physical contact
  • Sexual harassment or unwelcome attention
  • Bullying, stalking, or threatening behaviour
  • Intoxication that negatively affects others
  • Any behaviour that makes others feel unsafe or unwelcome

This applies to all event spaces, including sessions, social events, meals, online channels, and informal gatherings.

4. Reporting Issues

If you experience or witness unacceptable behaviour, please report it as soon as possible.

All reports will be handled confidentially, respectfully, and as promptly as possible.

5. Enforcement

The organisers reserve the right to take any action deemed appropriate in response to violations of this Code of Conduct, including but not limited to:

  • A verbal warning
  • Removal from a session or activity
  • Removal from the Event without refund
  • Banning from future Power BI Deep Dive events

Decisions made by the organizers are final.

6. False or Malicious Reports

While we take all reports seriously, knowingly making false or malicious reports may itself be considered a violation of this Code of Conduct.

7. Scope

This Code of Conduct applies to:

  • All conference activities
  • Social and networking events
  • Online platforms and communications related to the Event
  • Interactions with organisers, speakers, attendees, and venue staff

8. A Shared Responsibility

Power BI Deep Dive is a small, community-focused event. We believe that everyone plays a role in creating a welcoming and inclusive experience.
